My FIRST Interview

Big breath. Okay, so I had my first interview yesterday for a First Grade position at a school here locally. An EXCELLENT school. Not even two hours later, the principal calls my house number as I'm trekking to Fort Myers for an alumni dinner...Robert calls me immediately to give me what was the principal's cell phone number that she left on my voice mail to "Please call". Of course, I call right away and I'm SOOOO excited I can barely contain myself as I'm driving through a monsoon of a storm. I get her voice mail so I leave a message.....

AND

that's the way it's been since 5 pm yesterday. I think I'm dying a little inside. The lesson in all of this is patience, however, it must mean something good if she told me to call her cell phone, right? I know this district is difficult to get into as a "newbie" but I'd just like an answer before I continue building a classroom with an already sizable hole in my pocket. Ouch!

"Patience is a virtue" *le sigh*

Speaking of Meredith Grey, that woman is a saint. Fictionally, of course. In my summer long sabbatical from teaching (not by choice; I guess they need breaks too), I've taken to the show of Grey's Anatomy. I'm on Season 9. It's an addiction. I cozy up to my iPad and headphones and worry about what Meredith Grey will do next rather than myself.

Well, until better news awaits! Signing out,

Elizabeth
